Eugene/Springfield fans of the Trail Blazers: Join us Friday night at “The Cooler” for a Jerome Kersey book event

Since the release of “Jerome Kersey: Overcoming the Odds” in October, we’ve had 31 book-signing events in Oregon, Southwest Washington and Virginia. And we’re not quite done yet.

Next on the docket is an event at the preeminent sports bar in Eugene — The Cooler — from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 18. At about 5:30, we’ll begin a discussion about the Trail Blazers’ late, great small forward. We’ll talk about the book project, Kersey’s life and career, the great Portland teams that reached the NBA Finals twice in the early ‘90s, etc. A Q&A session will follow. I will have copies of the book for sale — autographed if desired — along with copies of two previous books, “Jail Blazers” and “Civil War Rivalry.”

Come visit proprietor Garrett Hartung’s fine establishment, have some food and adult beverage, take a short break away from March Madness and enjoy some thoughts above a beloved Blazer.

We have two more events in March — on Thursday the 24th at Portland’s Irvington Club (members only) and on Saturday the 26th at Ace’s Sports Bar & Grill in Lincoln City. For information of other future events, check the calendar on the home page of kerryeggers.com.
